My name is Khadijah, I’m a Pilates instructor and Pilates studio owner of a company called Julles Studio. We run a Pilates studio for women in Kuwait.
Back in 2010, I brought Pilates to Kuwait - before most people had even heard of it, and I’ve worked with over 10,000 women. Time and time again, these women share that they’ve regained their sense of life again.
Many busy women are struggling because stress and burnout are showing up in their body - tightness, pain, poor sleep - and they cannot switch off.
Right now, I’m finishing my Instructor Trainer qualification so I can run internationally recognised ... Pilates teacher-training courses here in Kuwait - taught by me, Khadijah - in both English and Arabic. Because I’m a local woman who speaks the language and understands the culture, it removes the travel, language, and culture barriers, and makes it easier for women to get certified, change careers, earn more, or have something meaningful after retirement.
The bigger picture is a world where women everywhere live pain-free, using Pilates, breathwork, and better alignment to rely less on medication for everyday aches and pains.
Women feel seen, safe and genuinely taken care of; they get rid of their pains and reach their goals whether its strength, flexibility, or destress. Julles is an exclusive place for women who carry a lot on their shoulders - looking after everyone except for themselves.
Women in Julles arrive early and stay after class to unwind. They connect with other women or enjoy quiet time alone drinking coffee or tea.
Pain points of women - when they hear this - it resonates:
- Are you stressed out?
- Do you have a lot on your shoulders?
- Looking after everyone except yourself?
- Are you fed up with Dr. visits and taking medication?
- Are you tired of physiotherapy without feeling and seeing results?
- The knee pain, back pain and neck pain does not fade away?
- Do you exercise every day in a big gym and still do not see results?
- Are you tired of the loud music in the big gyms?
Do you want the instructor to watch every move you do in class to ensure correct performance and ensuring your safety.
Why did other approaches fail?
- Intimidating gyms, and intimidating machines without having an instructor to guide her through every move.
- Unlimited membership adds pressure on her to attend every day, and makes her feel she failed when she could not commit to the unlimited access.
- Lack of supervision during classes, lack of knowledge and expertise from the instructors and the woman does not feel safe.
Solution:
- Where women feel seen, and restored.
- Women receive personal guidance in a safe, supportive environment where the exercise is gentle yet effective.
- Julles is a place where she can arrive early and stay after to have her coffee or tea in a quite place - to focus on herself, to reset and connect with women like herself.
- Women in Julles are supervised and guided from the moment she walks in the studio, and during the Pilates classes even if its a group class, and she will receive real corrections and modifications.
- Women in Julles reach their goals through a monthly membership with specific number of visits that suits their lifestyle - without pressure.
Methodology
Settle The Nervous System Description
create a calm, safe start so her body stops bracing and "locking up." We achieve this through the initial intake, understanding her goals and any injuries, prescribing a beginners class that involves breathing and activation of deep muscles.
Decompress & Align Description
Releasing tight muscles, and strengthening the weak ones. Through Pilates reformer we release tight areas (neck, shoulders, back) and start rebuilding the ideal posture.
Core That Holds Description
We strengthen the deep core muscles, so her posture doesn't collapse the moment she's tired or stressed.
